What changes the job, and the price

Coach manufacturer and model year

The windshield follows the body builder, not the chassis. Two coaches on the same Freightliner frame can take completely different glass.

One-piece or two-piece

Most Class A coaches use two curved halves. Class C is often a single pane closer to a van windshield. The difference changes both part cost and the labour.

Which half is damaged

On a two-piece unit a single cracked side can sometimes be replaced alone, which is a materially cheaper job than doing both.

Gasket or bonded fitting

Older coaches use a rubber gasket and locking strip. Newer ones are bonded like a car. Bonded needs cure time before the coach is moved.

Where the coach is parked

The work needs room around the front of the vehicle and level ground. A storage lot usually works; a tight residential kerb often does not.

Height and access

The glass sits well above head height. Safe access is part of the job, not an afterthought.

What we need to quote it

• The coach manufacturer, model and year — from the plate inside a cabinet door or the owner documentation, not just the chassis badge.
• A photograph of the whole windscreen area from outside, far enough back to show both halves and the centre bar if there is one.
• A close photograph of the damage itself.
• Where the coach is parked and whether there is room to work around the front.
