Terms of service

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Glass Genie, a mobile auto glass service operating in Dallas and the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, Texas. Contact details are on the contact page.

2. What this website is

An information and enquiry service. Using it does not create a contract for work. A contract exists only when we have agreed a specific job with you and you have accepted it.

3. Quotes

A quote is an estimate based on the information you give us. It assumes that information is accurate — the VIN in particular, since it determines the exact glass required.

A quote may change if the vehicle differs from what was described, if the correct part turns out to be a different specification, if the vehicle requires a calibration procedure not accounted for, or if pre-existing damage or corrosion is found once the old glass is removed. Corrosion at the pinchweld is invisible until the glass is out; where we find it, we will stop and tell you before continuing.

Quotes are not open-ended. Glass pricing and availability move.

4. Scheduling and access

Mobile work requires a suitable location: a level parking space with room to work around the vehicle. Bonded glass work cannot be carried out in rain or high wind without cover, and we will reschedule rather than compromise the installation.

Where a site requires gate access, permits or authorisation, that is your responsibility to arrange before the appointment.

5. Safe drive-away time

After a bonded replacement, the vehicle must not be driven until the adhesive has reached its safe drive-away time. That interval depends on the specific adhesive and on temperature and humidity, and your technician will tell you the figure on the day.

Driving before that point compromises the installation and may affect the performance of your vehicle’s safety systems in a collision.

6. Driver assistance systems

Where a vehicle requires camera recalibration after glass replacement, that work forms part of the job and is priced accordingly. Declining recommended recalibration is your decision, and we will record it, but we cannot accept responsibility for the behaviour of driver assistance systems on a vehicle where recommended calibration was declined.

Driver assistance systems are aids. They do not replace an attentive driver, whether calibrated or not.

7. Warranty

Warranty terms are provided with the work. See the warranty page for how auto glass warranties work in general and what to ask us for in writing.

8. Information on this website

The guides on this site are general information, not advice about your specific vehicle, policy or circumstances.

Anything about insurance is general orientation only. Coverage is determined by your policy and your carrier — not by us and not by this website. Always confirm with your insurer.

We try to keep everything accurate and current, but vehicle technology, manufacturer procedures and insurance practices change.

9. External links

We link to sources such as government agencies and safety organisations so you can verify what we have written. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.

10. Intellectual property

The content, design and code of this website belong to Glass Genie unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to quote our guides with attribution and a link.

11. Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
